"What better way is there to engage students in learning than to provide them with opportunities to dialog frankly about the most pressing personal issues they face?"
-- Roger Sidoti, Principal, Theodore Roosevelt High School, Kent, Ohio

This lively, half-hour TV series showcases a wide variety of Northeast Ohio teens talking with experts and each other about critical issues facing young people today. The program is moderated, yet unscripted, leading to compelling and candid intergenerational dialogue. Powerful personal stories and interviews are intercut with group discussion to fully explore each topic.

Since February 1999, Principles has aired in ten major US markets on PAX TV. For many years, programs were also shown locally on Adelphia each weekend. Most recently, six new programs focused on teen wellness were seen by over half a million viewers on Newschannel 5, WEWS-TV. Future broadcasts will be highlighted on our homepage.

Principles episodes are developed with the input of educators, experts and teens. Focused on issues of character, education, personal behavior choices and teen wellness, episodes range from topics such as 'Sports Rage', 'Teen Cheating' and 'Bullying' to 'Student Success: What Does It Take?' and 'Respect is a Two-Way Street'.

Each Principles episode is accompanied by a study guide, created by the curriculum department of Project Love. Please contact the Project Love office for information about obtaining Principles episodes and study guides at 440.442.5683.

Authentic Conversations is a Project Love program that uses 12 Principles episodes as a springboard for meaningful classroom dialogue. These programs focus on critical issues related to teen wellness and come with discussion guides and pre- and post-viewing surveys.
